Review by hotel critic
During my recent trip to Iceland, I had the pleasure of staying at the Fox Hotel. Situated a convenient 5 km away from Reykjavik, this cozy guest house proved to be a hidden gem amidst the city's fast-growing tourism scene. the warm hospitality extended by the owners truly made this stay a memorable one. the proximity to the Reykjavík Domestic Airport, a mere 3 km away, was a blessing after a long day of travel. the room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and exuded a sense of tranquility that was much needed after a day of exploring the rugged Icelandic landscapes. the shared facilities were impeccably maintained, and the thoughtful gesture of the hostess moving us to a more accessible room showcased their dedication to guest comfort. Although I marveled at the midnight sun's beauty, the lack of blackout curtains did pose a challenge for uninterrupted sleep. A small suggestion for the future would be the addition of roller shades to ensure guests can rest peacefully even amidst Iceland's unique daylight patterns. Overall, Fox Hotel offers a great value for budget-conscious travelers, providing a welcoming refuge close to essential amenities like the Offices of the Cabinet of Iceland. I highly recommend Fox Hotel to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and affordable base to explore the wonders of Reykjavik and beyond.
